APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
The Committee on Membership shall prescribe rules and procedures for admission of member,
which shall include submission of application forms, accompanied by payment of membership
fees, approval by the Executive Council, and issuance of membership certificates. The
Committee on Membership may require additional documents from applicants to
satisfy requirements for membership.
MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING
All members are in good standing except a member who has failed to pay his current annual
membership fee, or any other
subscription or debt due and owing by the member to the
Association and the member is not in good standing so long as the debt remains unpaid. Also, a
member in good standing is one who is not a respondent in a suspension or expulsion proceeding
before
the Executive Council.
VOLUNTARY TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Any member may resign his membership from the Association in writing submitted to the
Associations Vice President.
Such resignation shall be effective as of the date fixed in said
notice. The Vice President shall notify the Executive Council of the resignations received on a
regular basis. The membership of an Affiliate Member or an Auxiliary Member shall be
automatically terminated upon the resignation or cancellation in the membership of the Regular
Member, who is the spouse or partner of the
Affiliate Member or Auxiliary Member. The
membership of an auxiliary member shall terminate upon qualification as a regular member. Such
termination shall not require Executive Council action.
INVOLUNTARY TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP
A member can be terminated from the membership due to the following grounds:
- Non-payment of dues for two (2) consecutive years except for Past Presidents
- Conviction of criminal offense
- Misrepresentation of professional status
- Any other justifiable grounds
Subject to the approval of the Executive Council, any member whose dues or other accounts
remain unpaid for two (2) consecutive years shall be dropped from the membership roster of the
Association upon the expiration of sixty (60) calendar days from the
date that notice to that effect is sent via messenger or mail.
REINSTATEMENT OF MEMBERSHIP
A Regular Member who has been terminated from membership for non-payment of dues may
apply for reinstatement of membership through a written notice addressed to the President and
subject to the approval of the Executive Council. Such approval shall be
made within thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of said notice.
